Poems
This week we have read many poems. The one I liked the most was Old Ironsides, which was a poem created by Oliver Wendell Holmes. Oliver created this poem to save the Constitution which was a ship actually used in the War of 1812. I think this poem has more meaning then the others we've read and also just seems to flow slightly better, but this is all opinion.

Yeah, it is neat how his poem actually accomplished something physically. The way he brings to light what might happen to this piece of history really makes you have strong feelings for it. We all owe him for saving a valuable piece of our past.
